Angela Rae, one of Filion Wakely Thorup Angeletti’s partners, joined the firm in 1987 upon graduating from law school. She represents employers in all aspects of labour and employment law, including negotiations, arbitrations, labour board proceedings and actions for wrongful dismissal. In addition, she has represented clients in workers’ compensation, human rights, employment standards and pay equity matters. Angela has written and lectured on all aspects of labour and employment law and has served as Secretary, Newsletter Editor and Vice-Chair of the Ontario Bar Association Administrative Law Section.
Prior to joining the firm, Angela obtained a B.A. from the University of Waterloo, and earned her law degree at the University of Toronto.
Angela is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Bar Association (Labour Relations and Administrative Law Sections), the Advocates’ Society and The Metropolitan Toronto Lawyers’ Association.
Angela has been recognized by Lexpert as a “Repeatedly Recommended” leading practitioner in various areas, including Labour Relations and Workplace Human Rights, since 2008. She has been recognized by Best Lawyers in the area of Labour and Employment law since 2010 and has held a BV Distinguished Rating in Martindale-Hubbell since 2006. In 2015, she was honored to be ranked in Chambers and Partners’ inaugural Canadian guide.
