Mona M. McKiernan (associate) from Storeng, Beck & Due Lund ANS (SBDL) participated in a panel discussion regarding new requirements for permanent employment. The discussion was hosted by Legal aid for women (JURK). From 1 January 2019, employers must give employees who are hired on a permanent basis some extent of predictability for working hours in terms of an actual scope of employment, such as hire on a specific percentage, etc. The new legislation may cause some difficulty for certain employer groups, especially for temporary staff recruitment agencies, who may find it difficult to predict how much work they will be able to offer their employees.
